C.M.R - new radio at 101.3 F.M has started its service from August 20' 04 and its first Radio serial play is "Maname Maname" written and produced by me.
First recording was on 14th August, 2004 and went on air on Sept 8th 2004 (Wednesday at 10.30P.M) and the last 16th episode was broadcast on Dec 22nd 2004. The week of Tsunami. Thereby an alternate ending produced with listener's request was not aired. But fortunately this play was aired again in the daytime on Sundays at 12.30 in the afternoon.
The cream of Toronto actors, 17 of them acted in this play.
ST Senthilnathan, Ananthi Sasitharan, Dushi Gnanapiragasam Subanki Kalanathan, Dharshini Varapiragasam, Vilvamohan, Samanthi Kanagarajah, Suppuluxmi Kasinathan, Kamal Barathi, Sathiyakumar Jeyabal, Shanthini Varman, PS.Suthakar, Niroshini Srikantharajah, Sutharshi Ignatius, Sujeepan Kalanathan, S.V.Varman and K.S.Balachandran.
Initial recordings were done by Ram Prasanna and Paski. But S.V.Varman took over from 2nd episode and made it wonderful with editing and soundeffects. But for him, this play would not have been so successful. Thanks Varman. Thanks Shanthini for your refreshing Coffees and eatables during recordings.
This time the alternate ending was broadcast with myself partaking in the Talkshow with the listeners.(See the photos at the bottom) I felt elated by the listeners response. Thanks to CMR and ThamilPriyan, who coerced me to write this serial.
